Third-Person Hack 'n Slash - February 2018 - Sixth project at The Game Assemly


It's a action filled game in which you play as an inquisitor and have to fight a horde of demons, summoned by a mad painter. To help you, a priest is accompanying you to banish evil paintings that works like a doorway for the demons created by the mad painter.

Contributions

  • Made a complete rebuild of the audio engine for better functionality and performance
    • The audio engine has been switched to Wwise's SDK
    • Created a wrapper around it in order to make it easier for us to use its functions in our SunCup engine
    • Was also responsible for constant development of the wrapper
  • Made a complete implementation of the sound and music
  • Made a complete rebuild of the event handling system for better user interaction
    • Made a complete implementation of AI's pathfinding using "A star" algorithm
      • Was also responsible for its constant development
    • Made a complete implementation of the navigation mesh for the pathfinding
      • Also made a complete implementation of the tags for the nodes inside the navigation mesh (example: a tag for making a node inaccessible)
      • Was also responsible for its constant development
    • Made a complete implementation of the menus
    • Made a predominant implementation of the dash mechanic and the doors
      • Was responsible for making them work on the navigation mesh
